Description

Kilauea volcano's Episode 31 was a lava fountain eruption that began around 2 p.m. on August 22, 2025, and lasted for over 12 hours before abruptly ending early on August 23. This event was characterized by powerful, inclined lava fountains that reached up to 325 feet high, and it produced the third-largest volume of lava in the recent series of eruptions. It was an amazing experience.
